Important information every investor should read before dealing in the securities market.

Statutory disclaimers

  • • Investments in securities market are subject to market risks. Read all the related documents carefully before investing.
  • • Brokerage will not exceed the SEBI prescribed limit.
  • • Statutory levies and taxes will be levied as prescribed by the regulators.

Do’s

  • Always deal with SEBI/Exchange-registered market intermediaries.
  • Give clear and unambiguous instructions to your broker / depository participant.
  • Insist on contract notes for all transactions within 24 hours of execution, and verify their genuineness on the exchange websites (bseindia.com / nseindia.com).
  • Settle dues only through the normal banking channels with the market intermediary.
  • Make payments directly to Angel One Limited by account-payee cheque/DD or bank transfer — never deal in cash.
  • Give delivery of shares directly to Angel One Limited.
  • Adopt trading/investment strategies commensurate with your risk-bearing capacity — all investments carry risk.
  • Sign a Member-Client Agreement / tripartite agreement before starting dealings.
  • Carry out due diligence and read the Risk Disclosure Document before registering as a client.

Don’ts

  • ✕Don’t deal with unregistered brokers, Authorized Persons or intermediaries.
  • ✕Don’t leave the custody of your Demat transaction slip book with any intermediary.
  • ✕Don’t fall prey to promises of guaranteed returns.
  • ✕Don’t blindly imitate the investment decisions of others.

Products not traded on exchanges

Certain products (such as insurance, mutual funds, bonds, corporate fixed deposits and similar instruments) are not exchange-traded products and Angel One Limited acts only as a distributor. Disputes relating to such products will not have access to the exchanges’ investor redressal forum or arbitration mechanism.
